Cut Resistant Gloves

Choose cut-resistant gloves based on the task, material, sharp-edge exposure, fit, grip and coating. Compare the cut-test results listed for each model (EN 388 or ANSI/ISEA 105); a higher rating alone does not determine the right glove. Check the model specifications and your workplace risk assessment.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose cut-resistant gloves?
Identify the material and sharp-edge tasks, then match the glove’s tested cut level and features to the job. Check fit, dexterity, grip and other hazards.
Do cut-resistant gloves protect against chemicals?
No. A cut rating does not confirm chemical resistance. Check the manufacturer’s compatibility data for the specific substance and glove model.
Can I wear gloves around rotating machinery?
Gloves can catch on rotating parts. Follow the machine’s risk assessment and safety procedures, and do not wear gloves where an entanglement risk exists.
